The Beginning

Amber got her first taste of broadcast journalism when she joined her middle school's announcement crew in 8th grade. She loved the adrenaline rush she would get while scrambling to get a show ready with her classmates, and she could tell it was something she wanted to do for the rest of her life.

Amber continued to work on the morning announcements in high school, and she worked her way up to "Diablo Heat," an advanced video class where she would work with her classmates to produce comedy sketches and news packages. She had no trouble deciding what major to pick when applying to colleges.

Now

Currently, Amber is a journalism student at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. She co-hosts a radio specialty show on ASU's radio station, Blaze Radio, and works on the social media and marketing team for ASU's School of Community Resources and Development. In a perfect world, Amber would like to be a producer on Saturday Night Live, but she would also be satisfied working at a local or major news station as an anchor, editor, or producer.
